This simulation of a home infusion pump was created
after
the original design and was intended as a training tool as well as to demonstrate the system’s
ease of use. This software model allows the user to actively enter settings into the
displayed pump in a fashion similar to entering the settings into
the actual
pump. Placing the mouse over any section of the pump, displays a description
of what that item
does. Furthermore, clicking on the button
in the lower left hand corner instructs the simulation to print detailed marketing literature.
The guide on the right brings the viewer through a three step process to program
and start the pump. Once the process has been completed, an amusing animation appears.
